Chester have re-arranged their friendly with Gateshead for Wednesday 6th October ko 7:30.
Chester crashed out of the League Cup, going down 4-0 at Jarrow Roofing although it was never a rout that the final scoreline would suggest. Chester were in the game until teh final ten minutes when they conceded three goals.
Chester were unfortunate not to earn at least a replay from their FA Cup tie at Norton, where a late, controversial goal gave Norton a 2-1 victory. Jamie Clarke had given Norton the lead from the penalty spot after 9 minutes but Rob Draper brought Chester level after 18 minutes. Craig Coates missed a glorious chance to put Chester in front after 85 minutes. Norton claimed the winner after 87 minutes when Jamie Clarke bundled the ball in with most of the Chester players claiming a handball.
